The ROOT 66 Race Series is a series of cross country and marathon races put on by racers, bike clubs, and shops dedicated to quality mountain bike races. The ROOT 66 mission is to provide New England Riders with the most competitive, yet fun racing for all. Now in its 12th season, this series has become some of the most fun and competitive mountain bike racing in the region.
The 2016 Series is a made up of 13 cross-country mountain bike races and 2 marathon races held at different venues throughout New England between April and mid September. All the races are well-established, and some even date back before the series began. Additionally there are free events for children 5-11 years old, easy-to-enter races for racers 12 year olds and older, family entertainment, and affordable entry fees.
We've also listened to you, the racer, and your concerns. You wanted reasonable entry fees. You've got it! You wanted timely results and series scoring and you got it! We heard in great detail how and where you would like to see the future of cross country racing evolve and we've delivered. That future is now at the Root 66 Race Series.
